If you’re a driver, ask the garage about a quote or the work first. For everything else, here’s where to go and how to reach us.

Where to go first

  • A question about a quote

    Ask the garage. On My jobs, open the job’s quotes, then choose Message garage on that garage’s quote. You can message a garage once it has quoted.

  • A problem with a garage’s work

    Talk to the garage. Matchanic doesn’t do the work or take payment for it, so the work is between you and the garage. Email us if you think a garage, a message from one, or a review on its profile breaks our terms.

  • You can’t log in

    Reset your password. If you no longer use the email address you signed up with, email us with both addresses. Before we change anything, we check it’s your account: To add: how you’ll check, for example details only the account holder would know. We then tell your old address that it’s changed, and email the new one a link to choose a password.

  • Changing or cancelling a job you posted

    You can’t edit or cancel a posted job from your account. While no quote has been accepted, email us and say which job it is. We can cancel it for you, and you can then post it again with the right details. Once you’ve accepted a quote, the job can’t be cancelled on the site: speak to the garage.

  • You run a garage

    Help for garages covers quoting, commission, automatic quotes and your profile. You can’t top up your credit balance by card on the site yet. For now, email us with how much you’d like to add, and we add it to your balance once your payment reaches us. To ask for a commission refund, go to Refunds on your Credit page. Email us about your application, your account or a commission, or if you think a job, message or review breaks our terms.

  • Your details, your data or closing your account

    Change your name, phone number or postcode on My details, or your garage’s details on My profile. To close your account, email us. For anything else about your information, email To add: Privacy email address. Our privacy notice explains what we hold and what you can ask for.

You can also reply to our emails about jobs, quotes, messages, garage applications and refund requests. Replies reach a person.

Phone

To add: A phone number and the hours it’s answered. Add one only if someone will answer it; if not, remove this section.
